🌱 From Clay Floors to Cash Flow

My parents never finished grade school, first and fourth grade were as far as they went.
We lived on a Lithuanian farm with clay floors, no running water, no central heat. Barefoot in summer, wooden shoes in winter.

But we were happy.

World War II forced us out. We came to America with only what we could carry. Nine of us shared a one-bedroom apartment with relatives — and I never felt poor.

I started working at age 11 as a janitor, then a grocery boy. By 14, my mother ran a bakery. Within 10 years she’d grown her wealth close to a million dollars — from nothing.

My father worked in a factory, then started his own contracting business and made more as an entrepreneur.

💸 My Father’s Money Magic

Here’s his secret: he talked to his money.

At first it was play money — a few fake bills in his wallet.
He’d say:

Soon those fake bills became real hundred-dollar bills — always at least $1,000–$2,000 in his wallet.

The feeling of richness came first. The reality followed.
